3rd Barrier-free Life Workshop At DPÜ

The 3rd Barrier-Free Life Workshop was held at DPU. A workshop titled "Barrier-Free Life Workshop-3" was held at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, with Ülkü Uslu, Dr. Emrah Afşar, and Nuray Sayıner as speakers.   The third "Barrier-Free Life Workshop" was held at DPU (Dumlupınar University). The event, organized by our Accessible Student Unit in the Bedesten Foyer Area, was attended by Kütahya Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Ülkü Uslu, our academic staff, and students. Kütahya Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, Ülkü Uslu, in her speech at the workshop, informed the participants about the institution's work for disabled individuals and the social integration processes. Ülkü Uslu emphasized the importance of collaborations with stakeholder institutions to improve the living standards of disabled citizens and wished the workshop success. Following the workshop, Dr. Emrah Afşar, Assistant Professor and Director of Accessible Living at Kütahya Health Sciences University, took the floor. Stating that they live closely with people with disabilities every moment, Emrah Afşar emphasized that they are making a great effort to ensure their participation in society and that this workshop focuses on how to be more beneficial to individuals with disabilities. He added that their goal is to take the current situation a step further in their work. Later in the program, Nuray Sayıner, President of the Kütahya Celiac and PKU Metabolic Diseases Association, gave a presentation on the association's activities and the obstacles faced by individuals battling metabolic diseases in social life. The event, which was also attended by our Barrier-Free Student Unit Coordinator Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Dalkılıç, comprehensively addressed issues of disability rights and accessibility. At the end of the event, the program concluded with thanks given to the speakers and participants for their contributions
